Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise was an American actress, performer, and writer, best known in the role of Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. Bettle's musical Two's Company was her first stage performance in the 1950s. After that, she performed in a number of Broadway productions before she became an international star with Li'l Abner in 1957. In 1957, she also launched her first album of music entitled It's Time for Tina. Louise began the first phase of her Hollywood career in the year 1958 in which she portrayed Griselda Walden in God's Little Acre a dramatic film. It was a huge hit and Louise was awarded the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. At the time, she began her studies at Actors Studio in New York and developed her association to Lee Strasberg as his student. The next role she starred in was through in 1964 when she was signed by CBS to portray Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise Balfour continued to successfully play between Broadway and Hollywood acting as a sombre character contrast to her image of a glamorous doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. The series also featured her for her role as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although during the past couple of years she also has made her name as a director who has been successful in several well-known television series like Supernatural or The 100. Born in Essex in Ontario on the 29th August in 1965. The family moved to Toronto when she was three. She spent her childhood there as well as her adolescence. Samantha Carter was chosen in 1997 to play the role and she has settled down there ever since.
