Coleman was born and raised in the town of Blackpool, Lancashire. She was a headgirl at Arnold School, Blackpool and had straight A's at her A-levels. If Coleman was asked about her role in Emmerdale she replied she regretted that she did not have a traditional university experience. Coleman was as Crystal Clear at the Edinburgh Festival as part of a group called In Yer Space, which she participated in during her time at high school. A prize was given to her for her performance, while the play itself received a favorable reception. Coleman received the role as Jasmine Thomas while she was auditioning at drama schools. This happened in 2005. Coleman won two awards in 2007. The British Soap Awards nominated her for the title of best newcomer. At the National Television Awards, she was also nominated most popular newcomer. The 2009 British Soap Awards she was nominated in categories such as the Best Actress Sexiest Female and Best Dramatic Performance categories. Coleman was awarded an award at the TV Choice Awards nomination for Best Actress. Steven Moffat announced at a Doctor Who press conference on 21 March that Coleman, who had replaced Karen Gillan as the companion of the Doctor since Arthur Darvill left the series and was to play the role with Matt Smith. Moffat chose her for the role due to her being the most effective when working with Smith and could speak more rapidly than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Elle has been in the film industry since 1987. She was more popular on television. Of all the characters Eva has played on TV shows, Dr. Maria Santos in All My Children and Detective Natalia Boa Vista' in CSI Miami are the two which make an impression. In the latter, she even received two 'Daytime Emmy' nominations as well as gave her the chance to express her creative side through music. Eva is an entrepreneur, and also an actress. Three times married, she has a daughter with her second husband.
