
Kari Samantha Wuhrer is an American actress best known as the actress in the TV show "Sliders.' She is also an acclaimed singer, who released her first studio album "Shiny" in the year 1999. Wuhrer hails from Connecticut. She began singing at the age of a child, and performed in nightclubs once she turned a teenager. At the age of 13, she began attending Wooster School of acting, where she studied and later enrolled at various institutions to study the art of drama. Wuhrer's screen debut was in 1986's romantic drama, 'Fire with fire.' A few years later, she began her career as an actor on television, in the role of Joanie. In her long career of more than three decades she's earned around the equivalent of 80 TV and film credits. Though she's been in mainstream movies, she is known as a "B-movie the king" for the large number of low budget films she's had in her filmography. Wuhrer has also worked as model, MTV VJ as well as a model. In 2001, she received her the Best Actress Award for her comedy film Do It for Uncle Manny' at the New York International Independent Film & Video Festival.
